ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Who We Are.
My name is Jess Vishner, or Chef V to my students. I am a Culinary Arts Teacher in Pittsburgh, PA.
Our Culinary Arts Program is a 3 year Career & Technology Program at Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy that prepares students to be college and career ready.
Students practice the skills to jump right into a career, as well as earn industry certifications and college credits. Students learn to cook from scratch for events for as few as 5 people and as many as 350 people. We have cooked for everyone from their fellow students to local and national dignitaries. All the while practicing the skills it takes to be good people and leaders.
